Sanford Center for Aging opens geriatric specialty clinic

Media invited to attend March 31 opening

RENO, Nev. - Representatives of media outlets are invited to attend the opening of the Sanford Center for Aging's geriatric specialty clinic on Thursday, March 31 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Center for Molecular Medicine on the University of Nevada, Reno campus, at the intersection of Enterprise Road and Evans Avenue, just south of North McCarran Blvd.

This new clinic utilizes a whole person, interdisciplinary approach to care, to promote the psychosocial and physical well-being of elders. It provides comprehensive geriatric assessment and care management services using an elder-driven approach. Working with primary care providers in the community, clinic staff and physicians identify and bridge gaps in care and connect elders with vital services to improve their quality of life, reduce hospital utilization and increase positive aging in place.
