Nevada Center for Surveys, Evaluation, and Statistics

The Nevada Center for Surveys, Evaluation, and Statistics (CSES) has a 50-year combined history at the University of Nevada, Reno as a leader in data analysis. All academic disciplines need research design, evaluation, and statistical analysis and all units under CSES are cross-disciplinary. Together, we provide unparalleled expertise that will not be found in the general business community.

CSES researchers possess doctoral-level training in research methodology, survey design, program evaluation, and statistical analysis. It is difficult to find this same level of expertise and knowledge outside of the university setting. While engaging in interdisciplinary, collaborative research activities, CSES faculty and staff are in the unique position of being at the forefront of research innovation with respect to design and technology.

By combining three existing research service centers: Center for Research Design and Analysis (CRDA), Nevada Center for Health Statistics and Informatics (NCHSI) and the Center for Program Evaluation (CPE), there is no more redundancy or duplication of efforts. Knowledge, resources and expertise are now streamlined into one central unit at the University. A merging of these three units provides a stronger, more comprehensive, single center.
